Equatorial Guinea: ANA as an observer at the 6th National Dialogue (Malabo, July 2018)

At the invitation of the Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, a delegation of observers and journalists led by Mr Harouna Douamba, president of ANA International NGO, took part in the 6th National Dialogue, held from 16 to 21 July 2018 in Sipopo (Malabo).

Convened by the President of the Republic, Head of State and Government, H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, the dialogue brought together the government, legally registered political parties and other political actors from within the country and the diaspora.

The official invitation, dated 18 June 2018, was issued by H.E. Clemente Engonga Nguema Onguene, First Vice Prime Minister in charge of the Political Sector and Democracy, Minister of the Interior and Local Government.

ANA’s Secretary General, Mr Bekki Benameur, was accredited as an observer.

A special edition on Afrique Média TV

During the proceedings, Afrique Média TV devoted a special edition to the event: “Equatorial Guinea: 6th national dialogue, awaiting the resolutions”.

For ANA, inclusive dialogue between all political actors is an essential condition for peace, reconciliation and stability.
